For any of his fans, the Ricky Gervais Show on HBO airs tonight. The first episode is already on iTunes (in the podcast section) for free. It's basically his original Podcast but animated. For anyone unfamiliar with the podcast it stars him, his boy Steven Merchant (co-writer of The Office and Extras) and Karl Pilkington (either the cleverest comedian in the world or the world's biggest idiot). The podcast/show is just Ricky and Steven making fun out of Karl for being an idiot.

Did you ever see the video of Gervais talking with Pilkington about that book he carries around with all the freaks in it? The part with the kid who has that disease that causes premature aging was hilarious.

Yeah in all honesty it should be called the Karl show since it's his stupid comments that make it great. The "i'll eat a knob at night" line is classic.

Glad they did this, haven't listened to the show in ages and was meaning to. I really hope they record a new season soon.
